Results showed that several Zamboanga del Norte National High School-Turno teachers passed the National Assessment for School Heads (NASH) Batch 2, released by the Department of Education on July 4, 2026.
The passers were Teacher III Jane Harriette G. Descallar, Head Teacher I Gina C. Bangcal, and Teacher III Ann France B. Oyag, who met the required standards after taking the assessment on May 17, 2026.
Their achievement qualifies them as prospective candidates for appointment to entry-level school principal positions, subject to DepEd’s qualification standards and hiring guidelines.
Formerly known as the National Qualifying Examination for School Heads (NQESH), the NASH is a standardized assessment aligned with the Philippine Professional Standards for School Heads (PPSSH) that evaluates the readiness, leadership competencies, and critical-thinking skills of aspiring school heads.
The assessment serves as a developmental tool that identifies areas for professional growth and helps DepEd build competent and qualified future school leaders, with 6,180 of the 23,848 examinees meeting the standards in all four PPSSH domains during the May 17 assessment.
